The 3rd edition of the XL List East Coast Sportster Rally will be held May 15th-17th 2009 at Riders Roost in Ferguson NC. This motorcycle only campground is locate 15 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and is surrounded by some of the best motorcycling roads in the country.

Most people arrive sometime on Thursday although you can show up any time you want. Thursday you will be on your own for food, but Friday and Saturday we tend to eat lunch and dinner as a group at one of the fine local restaurants.  We will have group rides Friday and Saturday that you can participate in. Friday will be a ride to Linn Cove Viaduct and possibly Grandfather mountain. This ride is about 112 miles long and will be very scenic. You can view it here if you have a HOG membership.  Saturdays ride will be to Shatley Springs Inn for lunch and then on to Shady Valley VIA 421 "The Snake". This ride is a bit longer but I have yet to determine the exact route.

Riders Roost has 15 small camping cabins that will sleep a single person or a couple. A bunkhouse is available as well as tent camping. There is also a covered pavilion with a pool table for recreation. Firewood, Ice, and coolers are available at the camp for a fee. If you want a cabin or space in the bunkhouse you will want to reserve it by calling Riders Roost in early March when management returns. Tent camping does not require a reservation.
